Do you respond well to talking with someone who is gentle and grounded? Is it important to you to feel deeply understood? Would it be helpful to you to explore strategies for improving your relationships in a non-judgmental environment?
If this resonates, I might be a good fit for you.
My name is Rhonda, and I have had a life long interest in the inner lives of other people. I was the kid in school sitting on the sidelines during recess observing everyone because they were just so fascinating! As a therapist, I lead with that curiosity. What is happening here and how does it make sense?
I am passionate about the ways that accessing curiosity and compassion make it possible to change. By seeking to understand yourself, you begin to approach habitual responses with more flexibility, and you create space to see other options. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or confused by your own reactions, having a safe place to practice slowing and noticing what is happening emotionally for you and turning towards those experiences with kindness can be a catalyst for things to shift. I love facilitating that process and witnessing people start to experience their inner life and relationships in the ways that they want.
One of my favorite aspects of therapy is how collaborative it is. I believe a key ingredient to therapy being effective is having a strong connection based on us ‘being in this together.’ We work collaboratively to figure out what goals are the best path forward for you, and what tools and strategies are the most impactful for you to reach those goals. I find the process of working with you deeply inspiring, and it is an honor for me to walk along side you in your journey of self-discovery and change.
I strive to show up authentically and often bring levity into my work when appropriate. In addition to being a therapist, I am a cat lover, a birdwatcher, a fan 30 Rock and Britbox murder mysteries, and an eater of delicious food.
